Loving the Unlovable

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even ‘sinners’ love those who love them.”
Luke 6:32

We are to love the most unlovable of the unlovable. For what differentiates us from the world but our love for those who don’t deserve it. For God so loved the world (including the unlovable) so much He sent Jesus so as to save it (John 3:16).

I want to love everyone. I don’t want anyone I know to have a place in my heart with a speck of dislike.

Lord, give me contentment and love, compassion and grace, for all those I come into contact with. Through me, may You soften the hearts of the cold when they feel loved. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
