From Victory

“We put no stumbling block in anyone’s path, so that our ministry will not be discredited. Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses; in beatings, imprisonments and riots; in hard work, sleepless nights and hunger; in purity, understanding, patience and kindness; in the Holy Spirit and in sincere love; in truthful speech and in the power of God; with weapons of righteousness in the right hand and in the left; through glory and dishonor, bad report and good report; genuine, yet regarded as impostors; known, yet regarded as unknown; dying, and yet we live on; beaten, and yet not killed; sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; poor, yet making many rich; having nothing, and yet possessing everything.” 2 Corinthians 6:3-10

Do not be a stumbling block – my actions and words and tone matter! Endure and be patient through distress and pressure, through pressing situations, through difficult circumstances; when wounded or in misery, while caged and held hostage, and in the midst of disorder and confusion; when weary and fatigued, while awake and when unable to sleep, and while fasting; with integrity, with wisdom, with long temperance and with meeting needs to others, Spirit led and in high esteem without hypocrisy; speaking reality according to God’s divine Word and in the ability God’s given; with tools and resources of justice with full force; through an opinion that determines value and through an opinion that determines without value, through condemnation and through commendation, when regarded deceptive and when regarded as true; being ignored despite being well known; being separated despite experiencing God’s gift of life; being corrected and purified, and yet not mortified; experiencing deep emotional pain but always concious of God’s grace; as helpless as a beggar but enriching the lives of others; being without and yet taking hold of everything.

In all I experience, I am to be firmly fixed and established and constant in all that comes my way. Though I may surrounded by chaos and turmoil, feeling deeply the pain and hurt inside, being mistreated or misunderstood; I must keep my eyes on Jesus and thus I’ll feel His grace and rejoice in the truth. Glory will be the result as I stand firm in the faith.

Okay, Lord. I’ve seen the results of enduring through the tears, of rejoicing in my trials, of feeling empy but being a vessel to bless the lives of others. It was WORTH it. Triumph is already had. Therefore, I continue to go forth knowing that I come FROM a place of victory, not forward FOR victory. Amen!! Thank You, Jesus!
